Capacity building workshop for Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Nigeria.
In our effort to promote a resilient Digital Economy in Nigeria, we organized a one-day cybersecurity capacity building workshop for Federal Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies of Nigeria at the Nile University of Nigeria. Present at the workshop were principal officers and heads of IT of different Government agencies.
The keynote speech was delivered by the DG of NITDA Nigeria, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, CCIE whom the Assistant Director and Head of Legal Services at NITDA, Emmanuel Edet duly represented. The West African Cyber Lead Andrew P. spoke on the importance of Protecting Critical National Infrastructure. Other speakers from the industry and academia dwell on the relevance of Cybersecurity to the Digital Economy and the importance of threat intelligence sharing among MDAs.
One of the major highlights of the event was the table top exercises that were presented to the participants to respond to cyber incidences if they happened in their parastatals.
